I realized this morning that I forgot to post on Friday, I guess I was just too excited to have made it to the end of the week. I decided for this reason, that my choice posting would be about tired I was last week. I was shocked by how exhausted I was at the end of each day. By Tuesday I was ready for the weekend. Being with such a large group of kids all day will definitely be an adjustment for me. I also think it will be easier once we start our normal curriculum and routine next week. I know I can do it, but I'm definitely going to have to build my stamina!
I'm enjoying a weekend of relaxing and gearing up for another great week.
Teaching IS exhausting. It was during my first year of teaching that I showed my true napping skills. Every day, I came home and took a long nap, woke up, ate dinner, did some prep, then went back to bed. (I was only 22 years old!) Now that I'm a mom, I can compare the tiredness of teaching with the tiredness of having a newborn. Definitely an adjustment, so I recommend naps as an essential part of your day :-)
ReplyDeleteMeggie,
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your tiredness! By the end of the day I am also feeling pretty exhausted. I think naps will be in my future :)
I was also thinking that I will have to build stamina to be able to talk all day. I am used to only doing a lesson or two in my previous fieldwork experiences so I have a feeling my voice will be tired as well.
